Marketing Requirements​

​

1.     The device must specifically detect the Propel Mini Drone.

2.     The device must be portable, battery powered and rechargeable.  

3.     The device can weigh no more than 10 lbs. to prevent user fatigue.

4.     The device must be able to detect the drone up to 75 feet away.

5.     Unit must be operational for a minimum of 2 hours.

6.     The displayed spectrum must be in “real-time” or within 5 seconds.

7.     This device must have a method for determining/displaying to the user which d      direction the drone pilot’s signal is coming from.

8.     The device must be enclosed in a solid case.

9.     The device should have a power on/off button.

 

Engineering Requirements​

​

1.     The system must detect the 2.4GHz ISM band where the drone operates in.

2.     The system must be operational on DC battery rechargeable power pack.

3.     The system battery must supply at least 20,000 mAh.

4.     The system must be accurate within 10 feet of detecting a drone in the area.

5.     The system must have an SNR of at least 3 dB at 75 feet to the drone pilot.

6.     The system must have an ADC with at least 8 bits of resolution.

7.     The system must have the ability to be USB powered.

8.     The system must operate at 3.3V.

9.     The system must have a micro-controller with a 1GB processor.

10.   The system must analyze the surrounding environment and update the user   w      within 5 seconds.

11.   The system must have a bandwidth of at least 20MHz.

12.   The device must have a directional Yaggi antenna.

13.   The system will have an LED array signifying distance to pilot using signal s              strength.
